Welcome to OzManouche 2025!
This year marks the 20th edition of the festival—and my ninth as Creative Director. OzManouche remains Australia’s premier celebration of Django Reinhardt’s legacy and the rich, ever-evolving world of gypsy jazz. Set against the iconic Brisbane Jazz Club backdrop, our milestone year brings together world-class artists, rising stars, riverside concerts and jamming, and hands-on workshops—all united by a love of swing and a strong sense of community.

Welcome to OzManouche 2025
Now in its 20th year, OzManouche continues to celebrate Django Reinhardt's legacy and the vibrant world of gypsy jazz in Australia and beyond. Held at the iconic Brisbane Jazz Club, this milestone edition features top-tier artists, emerging talent, riverside performances, and immersive workshops—all in the spirit of community and swing.
Headline Performances
Hank Marvin Gypsy Jazz
Friday 26th & Sunday 28th Guitar legend Hank Marvin (The Shadows) returns with his explosive gypsy jazz quartet, featuring accordionist Nunzio Mondia and rhythm guitar ace Gary Taylor. Expect Django tributes, Shadows classics, and fiery swing.
Feature Artists
Noria & The Parisians
The French-born, Melbourne-based chanteuse returns, joined by an all-star rhythm section: Adam Russo & Cameron Jones (guitars), Tom Flenady (bass), with violinist Dominic Rado making his festival debut.
Charlie McCarthy: Triple Fiddle Fiesta
Following 2023's acclaimed Twin Fiddle Project, McCarthy pushes his creative vision to fruition, returning with a thrilling three-violin version of his project featuring Phoebe Haselden, Marcus Holden and rhythm section Rick Caskey and David Squires.
Festival MC: Ian Date
Festival patron Ian Date returns as festival MC and will host each evening's finale, leading spirited jam sessions with our guest artists and surprise guests.
River Deck Stage: Community & Emerging Artists
Inspired by the Luthier's Stage at Festival Django Reinhardt in France, this scenic outdoor acoustic stage brings together community groups and emerging musicians along the beautiful Brisbane River.
Opening Night Jam Session Hosted by Sam Cooke (Djangonui) – open to all skill levels.

A Tribute to Ewan MacKenzie
This festival proudly continues the vision of our late founder, Ewan MacKenzie, who was dedicated to building a connected, inclusive gypsy jazz community in Australia. His legacy lives on in every note played and every new artist discovered on our stages.
